Branching into the Social Media Management World
Last year my husband and I were talking about finding a business that we could get into on the side to help fund our retirement. We were looking at franchises and online businesses and also talked about just starting up something on our own. We both work full-time so it was a little challenging to come up with something that we could do outside our regular 8-5 job. I started doing research several years ago related to affiliate marketing. I decided back in November to start building one of my websites, then I ended up purchasing a book website and another website about Disney. I was really excited to get started but then there was the challenge of marketing my affiliate websites. I knew social media was the way to get started.
I began researching social media management tools on and off. I tried a couple (Hootsuite and Dlvr. It) and they just didn't have what I was looking for. A few months ago I had requested information from one of the franchises that I had researched and received the information. It was for "Social Owl." Once I decided to work on the affiliate websites I had, I just put Social Owl on the back burner. I didn't realize at first what it was. I set up social media accounts for my websites and I started trying to manage them all. What a headache. I tried using Hootsuite for a while but it was very limiting for what I wanted to do. I tried Dlvr.It after someone suggested it to me but I found it limiting also. I received an email from a Social Owl representative with a video clip. I watched the clip and realized that this may be just what I was looking for. I started doing some more research and found that Social Owl was practically the best social management tool out there. It offers a lot more than a lot of the others.
Needless to say, once I saw what Social Owl did and that I could manage all of my social media accounts for multiple business websites I was onboard. I became a licensee right away and decided to call my website 907Social.com. I just knew I had to start sharing this management tool with other business owners. It will simplify your life.
